if the machines and calcs needs 64bit pointers, why windos downloads are for both 32 and 64 bits?

well ok, the wallet! the wallet in windos are offered as 32 and 64 bit, but there's no linux 32bit flavor of the wallet.. convenience for the amoutn of huge piracy clients in Venezuela?
